I haven't posted in this group for several years because I stopped working on my 1968 modified fastback, Trouble. Well, I have started back on the car so I can take it to our MCA National Show in Tucson next May. So, I'll be posting once again as I finish stuff, or change a few things around.

Thanks guys! Tomorrow I'll be draining the gas tank and fending off the gas fairies.

Drained the tank today and only got about 6 gallons. It was full (22 gallons) in 2005 when I last filled it up. The gas smelled good, thanks to Stabil and Marvel Mystery Oil. No junk came out and no funky smell. I'm going to put about another three gallons in and drain it again to it out.

I'm down at my house in Mexico diving for a couple weeks. When I get back up, I'm going to flush the gas tank, drain it again, and repaint it and touch up the rear axle. I've been posting more on Facebook about what I've done on the car in the past, trying to get it up to present day.

Still waiting for updates. When in May are you doing the MCA National, and exactly where?

Sorry, been busy with work and trying to close down my business so I can go play fulltime. I did get the gas tank painted, same color as my F-250. I still need to do the final sanding with 2500 and 3000 grit and buff it. So far, it looks pretty good. The next thing I'll tackle will be to fix the damage to the rear valance from a tow truck, and then redo the rear axle once again. It was beautiful after I repainted it last August, but when we tried to reinstall it last fall, it fought us all the way. I think the car shifted on the jackstands and it was just enough to cause trouble. I'm going to redo the paint on the axle, and fix the black paint on the third member.

Our National Show will be at the Casino Del Sol Resort, May 12-14, 2017.
