Hey all-

One of the springs ( I say spring it is really like a bent metal bar that acts as a spring, not so much a cylinder of wire) that holds my trunk lid open has popped out of the bracket that holds it in place, and I can not for the life of me get it to go back in, I have pulled, pushed, pryed, levered, and I can not get it in, I have tried to get it both where it connects to the lid, and where it connects to the body.
Has anyone ever done this successfully before? Can anyone help??

Remove the hinge from one end and put the spring in the hols. Then reinstal the hinge. Easiest way I have found anyway. Once both hindges are on it is near impossible to get the spring in. It can be done witha good set of vise grips and a stubborn streak.
