Hi,

I know many have had this problem and now that I'm searching for the answer I can't seem to find it. What is the piece that shuts off the signal after turning called? If I recall correctly, no one was remanufacturing it and they're pretty hard to come by.

Thanks and kind regards,

Jack

It's the turn signal cancelling cam.

There is the turn signal cancel cam on the underside of the steering wheel. It is part of the steering wheel and is only replaceable by replacing the whole wheel. The turn signal switch is replaceable.

hi
It is not true that it is part of the steering wheel and cannot be replaced. It is easily replaced but I am not aware of anyone making it.

While they aren't reproduced, they are not part of the steering wheel of any model year that I'm aware of. The '65/'66 uses a metal "clip". The '69/'70 uses a plastic collar for the cancel cam.
