Ok, getting conflicting information and confused.

Need to order new u-joints as the motor and trans are out, so want to put new ones in when I put driveshaft back. I cannot measure or check the old ones as the garage is at my inlaws.

Are the front and back different? Summit doesn't list a difference, but Rockauto does. Looking at Moog Super Strength sealed/non-greaseable. But again, getting different results depending on where I search. Anyone got and part numbers of better info?

66, v8 c4 trans, stock 8" rear end

Thanks

Yes, all four caps on the front joint will be the same, as well as two on the rear. The other two rear caps, which are bolted to the pinion yoke, are larger. You have the internal clip type 3 15/32" OD.

I have to admire whoever came up with the u-joint. It is a clever little gadget.

I just changed my u joints in my 65. It has a 4 speed. It has the inside clips. The front u joint was easy the rear like said before has two different size caps. 1" and 1.125" The moog u joints are pretty nice and the napa ones are pure garbage.
