When I swapped from the 7.25 to 8" I spent many hours researching the driveshaft and u-joints. Everything I read said that in 67 a 200/C4 and 289/C4 used the same driveshaft and u-joint. My SIL stopped by with his digital caliper and I measured the u-joint bearing cap. It was 1.069, so I must have a 1310 u-joint The 8" takes a 1330 u-joint that measures 1.125. So Ive been running around with an undersized u-joint on the rear. Ive only put 15-20 miles on it since the swap. but I dodged a bullet.

So it seems I need a 1310/1330 u-joint on the rear and whatever the front u-joint is.

Im going to replace both of them. Might as well since the driveshaft is out.

you need the ford 1310 (big cap) u joint that uses 2 caps 1.062 Driveshaft side and two caps 1.125 pinion side. The 1310/1330 u joint will be wider on the 1330 side at 3.622 and will not fit the 8" rear
