Is there a way to tell if a control arm is a Ford part or aftermarket? Maybe a stamping in the metal on an original that repro's don't have? Since an original part is going to be more than 30 years old it's not likely any paint markings would still be visible. It's just something I'm curious about as I plan the rebuild on my front suspension.

On my 66 I believe that someone replaced the uca's with repro's, no paint left on them and no stamping.
I went with the NPD import uca's, the lca's has Scott Drake stamped on them, both seem to be good quality.

I think I remember seeing a Ford logo stamped on my uppers in my 71.......

The rivets also gave it away.

For the most part, if it's greasy, nasty and rusty with bolted or riveted ball joints, it's original.... :p
