I'm trying to nail down my plans for my 67 fastback project. After a little metal work I plan to take the car to the sandblaster. When I get it home I plan to put it up on the rotisserie. Now here's where I run into some questions (I've already used the search engine and that helped but raised more questions). I plan to fix any rust, so hopefully the unibody will be rust free when I go to paint/primer it. Is it overkill to cover the entire undercarriage, engine bay, trunk, interior, etc in POR 15 if there isn't any rust? Can you use POR15 in the wheelwells, or do I need to use undercoating or bedliner material? I only want to have to do this once so overkill isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just want to do it right so if anyone knows of a better way please let me know.

Thanks for you help,

Brian aka hecubus

After all the metal has been blasted, use an epoxy primer or POR 15 and coat the entire surface. Then use a good seam sealer on all welds and overlaps. Then you can topcoat using a chassis black or undercoating.
