To everyone here on VMF and all over the world. I want to thank Camachinist for saving me a good bit of money and for saving the life of my car.(I was about to take the TNT to it!) I pulled the pcv and no smoke! I watched as oil started to slowly rise and get on top of the baffel plate where I guess it was getting sucked up by the pcv. The guy I had helping me on the car swapped the valve covers so the breather is now on the drivers side and pcv is on the pass side. He also moved the pcv hose to the back of the carb from a vacuum junction on the manifold. Should I switch the valve covers back? What is my next step??? Im so happy! WWWWEEEEEEEEE HHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO
CAMACHINIST IS THE MAN!!!!!!! THANK YOU I OWE YOU BIG TIME! WRENCH IN HAND WAITING FOR REPLY!

On our cars I run the pcv on the pass. side. If you are using stock
covers the breather should be on the drivers side, much easier to
put oil in. If you go back and look, camachinist was not the first person
to tell you to block off the pcv. The pcv hook up should go to the back
of the carb. Good Luck!

Hi Brandon,
Renee and I just got home...we spent the day with her friends, had a great burger at Knowlwoods, and had dinner down in Huntington Beach with Teebone and MrGem and 67Delilah...and spouses *G*

I hadn't looked at your PCV arrangement.....sorry bout that...had my good clothes on....hehehe...just glad the idle adjustment worked out..

Usually the PCV goes from the back port on the carb throttle plate (or spacer if so equipped) to the passenger valve cover. The hole that I plugged on the side of the carb was an auxiliary port which I have no idea as to the function of...

Hope you got some vacuum plugs and fixed my mickey-mouse *G* tape job....

Don't know if that was worth the Corona but thanks very much!....

BTW, Bob raised himself a couple of great sons....

Good luck!

Pat
