Hi,
Some of you replied to my post last night concerning my speedometer in my 66 jumping about 10 mph and making a sound... "click...click...click...click...click".
I had high hopes after reading the replies. I removed the cable, greased it very well and dripped a couple of 3 in 1 oil in the back of the speedometer where the cable installs.
Well... as luck would have it, the darn thing is still doing it. What do I need to replace? The cable or the speedometer or something else? I know the gear down at the transmission is good, it is a brand new Ford part that I just installed about 2 months ago. Well... I say I know it's good, I had better check it out if damage to it could cause my problem.
Thanks for your time,
John Thomas
