Got my new arms today, assembled with shaft and caps. I've seen write ups call for backing the caps off a flat and welding a keeper in place. Seems to me that loose caps would wobble and wear out the threads. There's some scoring around the base of the caps, so it looks to me like they're torqued down and ready to install. Any thoughts? Thanks.

i would still put a few spot welds on them. when i put new shafts in my uca i torque to the specs in the instructions and then put 3 spot welds to make sure.
