Use orig. p/s steering box or get flaming river?

I am in a quandry. I can't decide if I should use the '65's original P/S steering box (I converted to manual and stuffed in the Shelby Quick Steering kit, already know what I'm in for *G*) or yank it out and slap in a new Flaming River steering box with the same 16:1 ratio. Any thoughts on this? I just don't want to have to yank the original steering box out two years after the car's completed (ha!) when all the plumbing and stuff is back together.

Thanks in Advance,

If the box you have is not worn out why not use it? The FR box is very
expensive in my opinion. You can adj. out the play in the box you have
and it should give many years of service. If you plan on racing the car
or the box is worn out, a new box may be in order. I have the original
box in my '65 and have no plans to chang it. We run open track events
with it, and pass lot's of cars with the rack and pinion, and FR set ups.
Rebuild the original, far cheaper than new and if properly done should last you many years.
