Hi all. I was checking my vaccuum hoses this week-end and noticed something while tracing two lines back to the vaccuum canister behind the passenger shock tower. The two hoses connect firmly to the top of the canister, but the round piece that has the hose connections on it rotates on the top of the canister. The round piece does not move up and down, and I cannot remove it by lifting it out. However, it turns in its mounting on the top of the can. Is it supposed to do this? If not, how much of a problem could this be causing to my vaccuum levels?

Hi Corey, my cannister does not do that...it could be a problem...check it by plugging one hole and pulling a vacuum on the other line with a mighty vac or just hook a clean hose to it and suck on it to see if it bleeding air...it doesn't sound right to me. later, Todd.
