When I did them in the 68 I drilled them out just drill enough to take off the back and then the snap will pull out. When I installed the new ones I couldn't find a tool to go over the panel and still grab the snap so I put it on a piece of wood and tapped it on the back side with a phillips screw driver. The phillips spreads the rivet and holds it in place.
Vert quarter trim snap -is there a trick?

when replacing thte verts quarter trim snaps, is there a trick to this. how do I get the old ones out without damaging the sheetmetal piece behind the window crank? I was just going to tap/bang it out but I figured I would ask first incase there was a better way. Thanks
