Hi Everyone,

I've gotten a few messages with people thinking that VMF is somehow the source of a virus that is pounding the Windows community right now.

Just so you know, the virus, like many others, uses addresses in your Outlook, etc. contacts and uses those addresses not only to send to, but uses those addresses in the 'reply-to' field in the e-mails it sends. This is the source of the confusion - you'll be getting plenty of e-mails from all sorts of your friends and business contacts that are in your address book - but that doesn't mean anything given the way this thing spreads.

Suffice it to say, no e-mail that is related to VMF is infected, nor is my personal e-mail box as I use a Powerbook here at the office and VMF and it's mail services are all on Linux. This particular outbreak is limited, just like the one last week, to those fortunate enough to be using the worlds most popular OS - Windows.

Thanks! Just wanted to clear the air on that...
