Is there a better voltage regulator or some kind of "solid-state" replacement to replace my current voltage regulator? I put on a new one and my lights were flickering and when I put the old one back on everything is fine, but I'd like to go to something more modern if its available.

Thanks

Yes, Ford sells a Motorcraft brand voltage regulator that is solid state.

You can buy them through Ford or through Mustang parts vendors. They cost about $30

How about an electronic one?
If you want to keep the original look, you can just use the cap from your old one, and put it on the electronic one (they fit perfectly). Thats what I did and it works like a charm, and it still looks "original"... . :)
