Finally got around to install my Wagner PCV valve. Was interested in seeing how well it works after all the great reviews.

Installation Checklist

Step 1. Do you have Baffles? Yes

A minimum clearance of 1 1/8” from top of the grommet to the Baffle is required.

Ok grab the calipers……well dang, I’ve only got 15/16”.

Havent got the box open yet and I’m already stuck!

I am using the Black crinkle Powered by Ford valve covers. Drake brand I think,

Has anyone modified the baffles on these valve covers before? I want to use the Wagner PCV if possible.

Slip an O-ring on it for a spacer.
I was wondering what I could use as a spacer. I need about 1/4 inch. I’ll have to look at the valve and see if that would work. I was thinking I might be able to put a long socket down against the baffle wack it with a hammer and gain a 1/8“ or so. but I don't want to break it off

Ok , looked in the kit and it actually includes 3 o-ring like spacers for this very purpose, but the largest is about 5/32. I would need to stack all three to get a full 1/4”.
