I only have two vacuum ports available on my manifold; from the number 4 cyl and the number 8. Both are currently used combined for the Power brakes. I wonder if I can split them and use one for the brakes and one for the PCV....

My thought was to gain some positive crankcase ventilation, right now I just have breather caps on both rocker covers

I get that part, it's the putting all the blow by gasses into the one intake runner that would concern me. kip

That’s an option I’ve considered. What I really need to do is a belt drive vacuum pump, but that’s big bucks. At some point I have to ask myself “where does it end?”

I have an "automatic" pressure relief valve. If I exceed 6,000 rpm or so, the pressure pops my dipstick up about 2 inches.

Ok, I'm stupid. Why won't a road tube flow enough pressure?

A properly functioning PCV is a joyous achievement - mainly due to the lack of oil leaks and how much crisper and cleaner the engine performs throughout the operating range.

Ok, but why no leaks? Is it because of trapped pressure? Why is the pressure trapped if you have an "open" system with a breather cap on one side and a tube without a PVC on the other?

If I were to install an air/oil separator in my car how/where would I get the oil back into the engine? New fitting on a rocker cover? I am not very happy with my power brakes and considering an electric vacuum pump. Perhaps a circuit using a PVC then through a separator and then using the pump to support the PVC and the brakes?

Just a thought… and I don’t mean to piss gasoline on a fire… but getting rid of that power brake booster would greatly simplify your specific deal.
