Any sugestions for removing the water pump pulley? I have tried my steering wheel puller, but it sits off center and wont budge the darn thing. Is there a tool made for this purpose? This thing is kicking my #@!. Thanks

Can you turn it on the water pump shaft or is it frozen in place?

I can turn the pulley, but the entire crank spins when I do. I have the entire engine broken down on an engine hoist. This is the last part to come off the block.

You must be talking about the crankshaft pulley and not the water pump pulley.

What engine are we talking about?

Yes, by golly it is the crankshaft pully. It has been a very long day. This is on my inline 6 200. Sorry for the confusion.

Go rent a harmonic balancer puller from Autozone. There is also a tool for installing a balancer.
