Got another question for youall. How much clearance is "safe" between the radiator and the center shaft on the water pump? I put in a HotRod Air custom raidiator w/electric fan and have barely 1/2" clearance. I will be using the serpentine belt so no fan blades to worry about. I am putting in my 5.0 finally and have a few questions. This is one more and I will probably have more. Experience has proven, this is the place to go for questions like these, so, bare with me. THanks.

1/2" should be fine if it's from directly from the front of the water pump shaft to the back of the electric fan motor. The engine rocks more from side to side than front to back. The only time it will slide forward is if you get into a head on collision. When my previous '65 was rear ended the engine slide back 3/8".
