Ive asked this before and didnt really get an answer.

Im stripping the D-code 289 down to change it from black to blue and dress the front as a 1967 289.

The D-code has a 4 groove crank pulley, 3 groove WP pulley and a 2 groove gen pulley.

I added PS to my 65 and had to change all the pulleys including both AC pulleys.

I am using the pulleys off the C-code 65 on my D-code. They are a matched set for alt and AC, Im adding EAPS and dont need a PS pump.

Im going to buy an alt bracket from Summit, I have everything else to dress it as a 1967 289.

My concern is the 64.5 front cover and waterpump. Dimension wise are they the same as the 65 C-code? Its tough to get an accurate measurement, but they look the same to me. The D-code does have the open back WP, so Im confident it still has the early timing cover.

Yes, should all be the same as they are both passenger side water pump inlet and 3 bolt damper.

I put the crank pulley and WP pulley on this morning, both line up prefect.

The new WP and alternator brackets should be in any time.

Once I have it all mocked up I will give it a coat of blue paint and put it in the 67.
