I have a 69' coupe thats walks a bit on the Resto-mod side. I currently have have 2000 Mustang GT wheels on the car and I love them. I have put an 8.8 rear in the car and the wheels fit great in the back. Up front I am using the bolt on type adapters to put the wheels in the proper location. I would like to find a way use the wheels but ditch the bolt on adapters (so I can get it on the track).
So here's the question: Are there any other Fords of the era that have longer control arms that might fit the 69' Stang??

Open to any Ideas... ???

Why not just get some "track wheels" and put them on for the track. It seems it wouldn't be that much more expensive, and you wouldn't change your car to the point that it can ONLY run late model wheels.

I'm with Johnpro...it seems far less trouble to just buy a set of wheels for track use only.

2nd...are the bolt-on adapters not track-legal?

I don't know if I have a pic handy but.. The 8.8 is out of Fox body and has SVO axles, rotors, calipers ect. All I did was chop off all the late model mounts, weld on some spring perches and make a late model drive shaft longer. Cheap and easy...

I have also thought of that but I wanted to use the late wheels on the track too... oh well, I may have to go that route.. Thanks guys
