I was at NAPA today getting new outer bearings and seals for my car (I am installing my 4 pinion T-loc). When I got to the seals, there was a choice between WFD acles and everything but WFD axles. What the heck does WFD mean? I do not have the axles apart yet, so I cannot compare.

I thought about that, but why would that affect the rear wheel bearings?

There are 2 bearing and 3 seal numbers for a 70 axle
WFD refers to the diff. not axles.
axle bearing # RWF34R uses #9161 seal
bearing # RW207CCR uses #9363S w/ 1 1/2" axle shaft
and 9569S w/ 1 3/8" axle shaft

You wouldnt think Disc Brakes would matter on rear bearings.I have had parts people ask some of the dumbest questions when I have been getting parts.

So are the 1.5" axles the 31 spline and the 1.375" axles the 28 spline? I dont recognize the seal numbers, but I have bearing RW207CCR. I have 28 spline axles, so when he gave me the choice of seals I took the smaller of the two (1.375"), NAPA # 13700.

Did I flub it?
