We have been working on our father son 1965 mustang Fastback for the last 6 years. We bought the car completely disassembled with lots of boxes. As we near the end of our project and installing final peices we found these in the rear quarter vent box but can’t figure out what they are for. Please help.

Hmmm… Are your vents damaged in some way? I've never seen the like, perhaps they are some clever repair.

The vents appear to be in perfect working order and fit correctly. We have been able to figure most everything out using the Jim Osborn manual or threads on this forum. I just wanted to make that we weren’t missing something before putting in the final trim pieces.

It is completely possible they have nothing to do with our car and just for stuffed in the box from the previous two owners. Just wanted some other opinions.

Some sort of a light duty hanger . The metal is too thin to hold any significant weight.
