These came in a box of stuff when I bought the car. They look like they match up with the valve springs (I'm no engine mechanic). Obviously they did not get reinstalled when my engine was rebuilt.

What are these called ?

Those are the top spring plates out of an old Engle "Hi-Rev Kit".

Basically, there were springs on top of the lifters, with this "bar" located on top of them. The pushrods passed thru the springs and bar. The springs added extra pressure on the lifters to help them follow the cam lobes at hi-RPM.

I believe Comp Cams still makes them for Chevies....

Clone is El-Correcto!

Rev kit for roller lifters... Also should have springs. Launched many a rev kit spring across the shop trying to install with a BFS.. (Brand X)
