What are y'all using for an antenna?

I'm looking at filling the hole in my fender. I have a repro at home now but I'd like to have something that will sit lower than original. A power antenna would be nice or a low profile billet is what I have in mind. I see SD makes a billet style but how's the quality. I'm not really concerned with using the radio, it's merely for looks. I'm using a bluetooth speaker for tunes.

I think it's on page 51

Prices may have been a bit higher in the mid 80's, but I went for E. No way was I going to pony up for C. :)

I think I had the $49 cassette deck on page 53 in our '70 Camaro.

I just spent some serious time going through that catalogs and the others on that site. 🤓

No antenna, filled that hole as well as shaving all my hood and fender emblems. Heard it from a guy sleeping behind a garage that all that would shave as much lap time as moving my battery to the trunk, so...no brainer.
Are you happy with the reception on those antennas? I will be reinstalling fenders soon and want to consider a power antenna. Unlike many, I use the radio a LOT.
It seems to be fine as well. I live in the burbs of Houston area, so get a decent signal. As others have said, I tend to listen to bluetooth or ipod more than the radio.
LOL, I still have the stereo/tuner amp described on Page 11, It’s on every day in my shop.

As for the O/P I have a retractable. pictured below.

I like that, any info on the source would be great. Thanks
I still have a pair of those speakers on the cover! I haven't used them in about 20 years but boy they sounded good.

Can you give a link to the antenna on Amazon? Did you have to remove the fender to install?
I don't mean to highjack this thread but has anybody installed a shark fin style antenna? I'm looking to do this on my 67. The thing that bothers me is the spine of the roof, the shark fin won't sit flat.
The antenna is there only for looks. It's not even connected to the radio, cuz well, the radio may or may not work. Original radio, but in the almost 35 years I've had the car, I've never once tried it. I rarely listen to the radio in my DD.
Anyone have an interior style that works??
I'm confused why so many people have issues putting on their covers with an antenna. Obviously you have a hole for it - just put that on first and it helps to line up the cover .......

Need to go ahead and settle on antenna myself. I am one that DOES listen to the radio a lot. Do a lot of channel hopping, classic rock, country, oldies, blues when I can find it. And GASP, even up to date news and weather.
Guess I am old school.
And being my wife runs a couple radio stations, she keeps her ear on what her station and the competition is doing.

I had my antenna hole filled and I'm planning on running a hidden antenna, but don't know how well it will work.
something like this, hide it in the dash somewhere, but I'm still a ways from trying it out.

I filled the antenna hole and am using a hidden antenna that is mounted at the top of the back seat (stuffed in the back of it) of my 67 convt. It is a cheap $8 bingfu one from Amazon and the supplied cord was long enough to run under the carpet and to the top of the back seat. Reception was same as the original.
