What are y'all using for an antenna?

I'm looking at filling the hole in my fender. I have a repro at home now but I'd like to have something that will sit lower than original. A power antenna would be nice or a low profile billet is what I have in mind. I see SD makes a billet style but how's the quality. I'm not really concerned with using the radio, it's merely for looks. I'm using a bluetooth speaker for tunes.

I’m looking at this one but they want you to mount it to the windshield.
On the rare occasions, I use a car cover, the hard mount stock antenna is a p.i.a. to get the cover over..
Every time someone says this (and a lot of people say this) I have to say I'm puzzled, and I wonder if I am the only person in existence that has a stock (to my knowledge, OEM) antenna that just comes off of the base. On the rare occasion that I need the antenna out of the way, I just... pull it off the base... and put it on the floor or wherever. Base is left behind with the little key that the antenna tube sits on. My antenna has always been that way, and I've never had any trouble with it coming off any time other than when I actually yank it off, so I thought this was totally normal.

I had a stock reproduction antenna and it doesn’t detach from the base. Since I didn’t want to punch a hole in the car cover, I would have to undo the antenna nut and drop the whole thing down into the fender, then put the cover on.

Never heard of or seen that. Got a picture or two showing how it comes off?
