I am new to this board so pleae help me out! I just bought a 64 and 1/2 Mustang this evening to start restoring. It has not moved since 93 and the old guy gave it away to me for $500. Where do I start? Can someone give me a few sites that sell classic parts? Thanks!

First, access the rust extent very carefully. That could be the most expensive part of the restoration process. Next, see what it would take to get the engine running. Change the oil, put in fresh gas, a new fuel pump, rebuild the carb and see if it will run. You may have hit on a winner. Take it slow, one step at a time and keep the VMF advised of your progress. There is an unbelievable knowledge base out here, so always ask. It is a whole lot easier and cheaper that way. Evaluate first - then ask - then act. It works better that way. Good Luck, OF 67.6
