While all my pals reported that they played golf, went fishing, or took the kids swimming, I wallowed around the driveway in a puddle of anti-freeze. I'm sick, I say, SICK !!!

This was, of course, by choice...and I got to take the boys swimming afterwards ! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Got the radiator removed and replaced, new hoses and Gano filter....Test ride on the highway had the guage about 3/4 to "hot", so that's an improvement. Timing is the next place too investigate, and that's on the to do list when we restick the distributor.

Hope all you fathers had a good one !! Dickson

I drove from Windsor, Ontario to Indianapolis, IN and had my alternator go out in Ann Arbor, MI. So luckily I found an auto zone store that was close and open. Borrowed their tools and changed it in the parking lot and was under way in an hour. When the bearings are gone they make alot of noise. Finished the drive and went to bed. Not the best Father's day. But I'm glad some in VMF were luckier than I was was.
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!!!!!!!

SWMBO got my Birthday and Father's Day confused since the card I got said "Happy Birthday Father" and my birthday is in October. I don't know if she even read the card. Oh well there's always next year.

Had brunch with my kids, grand kids, ex-wife, and an aunt and uncle; visited one of my lady friends in the early afternoon, then drove the convertible up the coast (Dana Point to Laguna Beach). One of my other lady friends visited me that evening. Just another day in paradise.... darn, forgot to drink some beer.

I have been sick as a madd pukin' dog lately./forums/images/icons/frown.gif... (VF-143 is an F-14B Squadron based at NAS Oceana - Virginia. They fly my favorite aircraft..../forums/images/icons/smile.gif)

Yesterday, though, I finally mustered enough strength to get up out of bed and we headed down to LA and had lunch with my father-in-law, brother-in-law and the rest of the family./forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Downed a few beers and watched Tiger Woods clean house. Someone has got to beat him. I mean, eventually, he will die and won't be the champ anymore./forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Anyhow, we got home and watched Zoolander. What a riot./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif...

My Mustang is broken and I haven't been well enough to work on it. Now that sucks.....

Saturday watched my Neice play in the City/County All-Star Softball games and Bar-B-Que'd, Sunday watched my other Neice compete in a Softball Tourney and Bar-B-Que'd. Then watched the College World Series......a good lazy weekend.

Plus I got a card (gift) from my SWMBO that entitled me to 24 hours of being right! Man, did I use that card a lot Sunday/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I attended the fathers Day Pismo Beach CA Rod Run. It's something that my wife, daughter do every Fathers Day. One of the few shows that I can get them to go to. I ended up with a third place finish in the Mustang class. Weather was simply awsome and there was some great cruising action.

My 3 yr old son gave me homemade father's day card.
Also made a handprint made from Play-Doh and then baked
to harden from his daycare.
My 5 yr old daugther also made a homemade card plus
a wooden plaque that say "PAPA le meilleur du
monde" (PAPA the best in the world) from her daycare.
SWMBO made Tiramisu and it was delicious.

Thunderstorms around Houston delayed my 18 year-old from returning on time from a DeMolay convention so we had to start the day by leaving a vehicle for him at the airport as we had 1920s vintage fathers and fathers-in-laws over for the barbecue and festivities. 24 year-old son came by with a gift certificte and card and enjoyed a beer with Dad and the Gramps. After a short drop-off on the couch during the "delay" the old-guys and myself enjoyed a bowl of ice cream while watching the conclusion of the US Open.

Great Day!

I built a new workbench. I am very tired of using the tailgate of my pickup as my workbench...lol. You might consider this a bummer for father's day but this is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy doing on my off days.

Oh Yeah, I also went to a really cool car show at a local shopping mall. About once every 2 or 3 months all the local car clubs get together for an all brands inclusive car show. Fords, gm cars, mopars, even a bad a$$ studabaker that has been in a couple of the rodding magazines were there. It was a lot of fun, even ran into some old friends from high school I haven't seen in about 15 years or so.

I also got the cards and a copy of Sheryl Crow's new cd (i love her).
