Maybe this has already been discussed and I missed it, but what happened to the number of posts that used to appear under the poster's name?

The question came up soon after the numbered posts were removed on Friday. What happened to the numbered posts? fd

I wish the numbers were back, I don't care about who has the most posts, but it is helpful info when deciding how to answer a question. It's a bother to have to go through the extra step of checking the profile.

I agree. If an old-timer asks a q, I can assume he/she did a search and the answer wasnt there. If its someone with just 1 or 2 posts, Id feel better about asking them to search the threads first before seeing folks retype the same advice over and over. Classic topics under this heading include, "will 351 heads fit my 289?" "how can I swap a 289 into my 6-cyl Mustang, and should I?" and a myriad of "whats it worth?" questions ::
