I'm attempting to repair a broken mast on my '66 radio antenna assembly and do not recognize this set-up in order to obtain required parts. Can anyone tell me just what this is ie> incorrect application, Ford replacement part, chain store schmutz? Any one recognize this? Should I just pull and replace?

Looks to me like an aftermarket motorized antennae. It might run off a switch or could have been automatic with the radio power.
Probably no repairing that mast alone.

After further attempts to figure this antenna out, I was able to raise the mast. Turns out that it is a manually retractable antenna that was just pushed in too far. So, all is well for now. Really diggin' that retro AM radio sound. THX for the replies.
