I am starting the 6 cy to V8 conversion on a 1966. These are the parts I have; what am I forgetting?
Springs
Shocks
Upper Control Arms
Lower Control Arms
New Strut Rods
Inner and outer Tie rods.
Heavier sway bar
Pitman and Idler arms
spindle assembly
new brake lines and hoses
5 bolt rims
The UCAs, LCAs, and Strut Rods are the same for 6 and 8 cars. The only reason to replace the CAs is if the bushings and/or ball joints are bad/damaged. Unless the strut rods are damaged you should only replace the bushing if it's shot.
I'm using the Baer Tracker bump steer tie rods; they don't need the sleeves. Thanks though
