Will any small block intake manifold fit? I'm told there are deck height considerations at require a 351 intake and that a 289 or 302 intake will not work. What do I need to get? I have a Holley 600cfm that will be mounted to the manifold. Thanks again.

If you have a 302 BLOCK, then you will use a manifold for a 282-302, NOT a manifold for a 351W. The 351W BLOCK is taller/wider hence their use of different manifolds.

The 351W heads are externally dimensionally similiar to 289-302 but with larger ports (?) and valves.

Like SAC69 said, you need the 302 intake because your using the 302 block. And if don't already have an intake, I'd suggest you use the Edlebrock Air Gap.

any 289/302 intake will work. However, the Ford Muscle Parts division made a special intake just for this application. Part #C9OX-9424-B. The intake ports are similar in size to the 351 intake and it matches up better to the heads. You still see a few a these floating around, I've seen some on ehay, too.
Todd.
