i got a pair of repo toe boards from CJ pony parts and im trying to get them somewhat close so i can weld them in, i know all metal needs some persuasion in some spots. but i cant seem to get the thing to sit properly, im not sure if i have it too high up the firewall or down to low on the floor pan, anyone have any pics? or advice?
TIA

I had same problem. Ended up cutting out (from the repo) only what I need to replace on the rusted toeboard. Then I cutout the rust and butt welded the trimmed repo in. Worked great.

your cut should be just below the groves (the little indentures on the toeboards) about an inch to an inch and half
