More of the DM haul
Got this wire I can't ID other than I don't need it.
Red/grey stripe. 32" between grommet and plug. Door courtesy light?
Bulb is bad but wires show continuity. Rubbers are pretty soft and pliable
If you can use it you can have it for a few bucks to cover shipping.
If I was a guessing man, I'd say the "gray" is actually faded light blue and the lamp is either for radio or clock illumination or, perhaps, to a console cubby.
Ok, since i have a '66 the thought of it being an outer fender clearance light didn't occur to me so that's where I'll put my money for now. It does have a small grommet just an inch or so from the bulb housing. that grommet is hard but overall still a serviceable piece i would say.
Shift selector is a definite contender along with side lights. It for sure passes through the body with the fat grommet then only a few inches to its home.
I have looked through hundreds of pigtails and none I have found match. Think Ive reduced it to '69+ from the size and shape of the grommet.
Anyone sure what it is and/or want it? If I lay it aside it will become trash and hate to do that to a serviceable part.
