Have a question which needs some help. Have a 69 mach 1 lowered 1 inch I want to place the R model wheels which are 15x7 on her, but I am getting conflicting replys on what size tires I can use. I want to go 245/60/15 in rear and 225/60/15 up front what do u think and any other suggestions. Thanks

My '68 is in the weeds and these are the exact wheel/tire sizes I am running without fender interference (although I did roll the front fender lips as I have about a 3 inch drop). I don't think this will be necessary if you've only lowered your car 1". BTW, the backspacing on my wheels is 4.5".

My 70 fastback is lowered about an inch as well...I'm running 15X8 with 4" backspacing and 265/50/15's. BAckspacing is the key....not just the wheel/tire width.

I also rolled the fender lips for good measure.
