I'm looking for the rubber grommet that slides over the 65/66 headlight dimmer switch and keeps it from rubbing on the carpet. This is not the cap, but more of a grommet than anything else I can describe. I've looked through about 8 catalogs, all of the Illustrated Part Books, and the Osborne series, and can't find it illustrated or listed anywhere. While in Pensacola, a vendor said it comes with the carpet, but I sure don't want to pay $90 for a $2 part. Can anyone help?

Is that the only thing the judges counted off for? How'd you do?

Randy,

That one is easy (I think). Auto Custom Carpets makes nearly all of the restoration carpets and they include it in each carpet they sell. I am sure if you contact them directly, they would probably just send you one for nothing. Do a search on their name (they're located in Alabama). If you can't find em, let me know and I'll dig up their website (they do have, that I know) for ya.....

I replaced some carpet not long ago and I used the original one becuase it still looked good. I remember the new one floating around my basement for a while. I may still have it. IF I can find it tonight I'll let you know and just throw it in the mail. Why? Cause I'm just one hell of a guy!

Even better...can I come up and retrieve it, while I look over your vehicles?

Well well well! Now that explains a lot! So a true concours 'stang would just have a holed carpet for the dimmer switch, eh? If true, then maybe I should just keep my "concours" baby that way...
