i have a short somewhere on my 70 turn signal cam. the blue wire that appears to run through the emergency flasher melted the plastic cover around it and also blew both turn signal and emergency flashers. when i put new flashers in the turn signal won't shut off unless i turn on my headlights and my emergency flashers won't work at all and both of the flashers get real hot and the wires that run to them. let me know if you can help cuz this is getting stressful.

Blue wire is usually the signal going to the turn signals, and comes from the flasher unit. Your problem sounds very serious, as it appears that the incoming signal line has a serious short. Check the bottom of your turn signal switch (under the steering wheel), and cover the back side with electrical tape. Most repro switches have exposed rivet heads that can short to ground right there.
