I have the opportunity to remove a 70 Cougar rimblow steering wheel and would like to also secure the "switch" I hear so much about.

Is this the harness in the column or just the contact points area behind the wheel?

Any advice on locating/removing it or other related pieces to operate the wheel would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It is the harness as You put it located on the inside all around the wheel and it has two wires I believe that make the connection under the center pad.Not sure if a 70 will fit a 69 if that's what You're trying for.

The rimblow switch is the rubber piece (has metal contacts inside it) that is in the steering wheel. This is the piece that is pushed to make the horn blow. It is connected under the pad via 2 screws to the contacts.
The 70 rimblow switch will NOT work on a 69. They are different sizes and the end connectors are different.
