Hi Anne,
Carpet is a lost cause. The quality can be determined by holding a new piece up to the light. You can see through it. ACC carpets are terrible as far as I am concerned. I have resorted to my upholsterer custom making my carpets for my restorations. TMI upholstery,on the other hand, is fantastic upholtery. I am very pleased with their quality and fit. Outstanding upholstery.
Hope this helps,
jazzbo

Just make sure you get the correct '64.5 carpet with finished ("serged") edges along the sides and no vinyl toe pad (it should have just the vinyl heel pad). I've had my carpet from Virginia Mustang for 4 years and it's fine. Of course, I only drive the car about 500 miles a year.

I got mine from California Mustang and it is good. I think the majority of mustang dealers will carry the same brand carpet.
