Hi Guys,
I've got a (7-13-64) D code hardtop with a five bolt 289, and it currently has an Autozone open back aluminum water pump on it.
I will be installing a cam and heads (TFS TW FAC 170s) soon, and want to install the highest quality water pump I can get. My timing cover has the oil filler on it, and I'd like to keep it on the car if possible. Will the Edelbrock 8842/8847 open back pump work with my timing cover?
I'm glad I read some of the other TW/289 threads; my chambers are currently 58cc and I will be having a racing shop mill the heads down to 54cc to keep the CR the same as factory (9.3:1). My buddy was hinting that I might consider 10:1, but I don't want to scrap the heads if I decide to stroke the motor later!
Thanks in Advance,
Brian

Agree with Flowkooler. Had one on the 390 in a 58 Tbird and now have one on the 5.0 in my '67.

+1 on the FlowKooler. I have one on the 351 and the 5.0. It's Mojave tested in the Bronco and Georgia traffic tested in the Mustang.

Mustang's Unlimited had the best price last time I checked.
