68 manual drums. In Mustang Unlimited's catalog I see 2 master cylinders for my car. One is described as 67-70 large bore dual bowl and the other is described as 67-70 with manual drum.

Some PO put an aftermarket master cylinder on the car, not only did it not look right, is was full of some serious rust. I want to replace it with a correct unit.
When checking auto parts websites I see a choice of 1" or 1-1/8" bore. I guess that is the large bore as above.
Which should I use?
What brand is appropriate for the car is look and function?

Hopefully I can use a local parts store rather than a Mustang supplier and their inflated prices.

And yes everything in the brake system is being replaced.

I would just go to NAPA or another reputable supplier and get the manual drum master. It will be a dual reservoir cylinder with equal bowl sizes.

You need the smaller 1" bore for manual brakes. ANy auto parts store should have them, but get a BRAND NEW ONE, not a rebuilt one. The rebuilts just don't last any time at all. Lifetime warranty only means you will spend your lifetime's labor replacing them if you get a rebuilt.
