I have decided on a redish orange for the paint color. Which color primer would be best or does it matter? The color looks more orange but it is not as bright orange as hugger. I know the picture shows the car red oxide, but as I block it again and again, most of that will come off and I am going to shoot a two part primer.

I don't think it matters too much bro... I'm no expert, but common sense would tell me that gray primer would be the best in all cases.

how about using primer tinted the same as the color the car is going to be that way if you chip paint its harder to tell. that is what i am doing with my fastback. the paint shop where i got my primer said they can tint the primer just about any color my color was easy i am painting the car yellow so i went with a yellow primer.

Dupont uses a value shade to put down before you put your base color on. This will give your base color the proper shade. Primers do slightly change the shade of the base color.
