Poll time. I need to get another rear valance for Shag and need to decide with or without exhaust cutouts. I'm tempted to go without and have the exhaust come straight out like Red's (see pic). BTW I don't like downturn tips.

Shag will be very similar to Detective Bullitt's car (color, wheel style, etc).

Eyes got to know, which way to go.

I like the look of the GT valance that has the cut outs, but the repos suck, ask me how I know.

I'll kill this for sure! I'm an old fart that thinks "normal" duals look cool!
Below the valence+! It's not a GT so IMO faking a GT is wimpy!

I vote for tips through the valance. I dont like exhaust tips hanging below the valance. Just my .03
For 67/68 Mustangs the exhaust does not go through the valance on the GT cars. There was just a cut out on the bottom of the valance.

Starting with the non-GT valance, I guess you could take a standard valance and cut out your own exhaust holes if you wanted?

However, having recentily watched the Bullit car chase scene, I noticed that the Bullit Mustand had a standard rear valance. Personally, I like the GT rear valance style.

I like the look of the 65-66 thru the rear valance. I plan to do that with my 68.

Garner,
Let me re phrase my response. I like the exhaust to use the valance openings whether they go through or have notches like the 67 and 68's. IMHO what looks bad is using a standard valance and having the pipes exit below them. Hope this clarifies.

In front of the rear wheels, GT350 style.

Tailpipes be damned!

Absolutely with the cut outs if you don't like turn downs..I don't mind the turn downs with a stock valance but I'm not a fan of the pipes straight back underneath the valence...I've seen them sticking out so far they look like steps to help you jump into the trunk or something :(

TUCK 'EM! Use the cut-out valence. I plan on replacing Blu's with the cut-out valence as well. Tucks the exhaust up better.
