What im looking for is a fiberglass hood scoop to bond on to a spare non turn signal hood im getting soon. The one i want is a ford thunderbolt teardrop style. I found 4-5 places that make them, price ranges from $65-85 with $40-50 shipping and box fees or $150 and free shipping.

But who makes a good quality one? its hard to tell by a black and white picture.

Ive looked at up22.com #sc-101 $70 $10 box $50 shipping.

and rodnrace.com #e-6201 $85 plus $30 shipping which i think i like the best because they make a shorter version for mustangs.

It looks like a quality piece. How much did they ding you for shipping? What bonding agent did you use? And what did you use to blend it in? did you end up cutting more of the metal then shown in one of your pictures?

Not sure, the body guy ordered it and had it shipped to his shop, given what I paid, it was a LOT, J/K
What bonding agent did you use?
Not sure, again, a body shop thing, I've been meaning to ask him the name/brand, but the last two times I've been there he has been out. Supposedly its the same epoxy that GM uses on the silverado door hinges, guess they are not bolted on. If you want, PM me and I'll give you his name and number
And what did you use to blend it in?
Again, a body shop question, he is the master, one thing I stay clear of, body and paint (guess thats two)

finally, one I can answer, he has done this mod to four or five mustang hoods (that I have seen), he has it down to a science, so what you see is all he cut.

I got my R model front apron from Tony Branda and my painter said he'd never seen a better fit on a fiberglass part. Not sure if they have what your looking for, but give them a look.

Well i changed my mind on the teardrop hood scoop and deciced to go with the gt 500 scoop. Just ordered it through MAS racing. They recommended getting the bolt on style for extra strength and bond it on with 3m panel bond and smoothing it out with duraglass.

I got your pm and just read your post. I'd contact wesco and see what they'd recommend from their product line. Since it is a hood, I'd try fast68back's suggestion as well. Ask the pro's first. Also try www.autobodystore.com and post your question.
