Not the same stuff. One of our local old time feed and seed stores has that stuff. The stuff I'm referring too has the consistency of Go-Jo but was somewhat a clear green hue. The owner of the store knew what I was looking for (she was an older lady). Said they stopped making it years ago. Apparently, after decades of use it was considered dangerous to be used in home.

Im not saying the items you posted wouldn't accomplish the same thing as I have never seen or heard of them used. I just know it isn't the same product.

For some reason, regular Go-Jo (Not the orange stuff) is getting harder to find around here. Again, after decades of use I'm sure it is becoming unsafe for us to use.

Crude oil smells very different depending on what type it is and where it comes from.

"Sweet" crude refers to oil that doesn't have any hydrogen sulfide (h2s) in it. If it did have H2S it would be called "sour" oil (smells like rotten eggs, and can kill you) so that natural opposite would be "sweet"
The sweet stuff is easier (cheaper) to refine.

Years ago back when I had my Fastback (which my screen name was after) the toploader died in it. To save time and possible $ I got a good used one from Long Island. Picked it up in a '91 Eagle Talon, put it in the back hatch area. While driving home I start to smell the gear lube and think mans that's bad. I get home and realize the trans tilted over and the PO didn't bolt the cover back on tight. 90W all in the back of the Talon! I tried a bunch of things to get the smell out but nothing worked!! I finally had to buy used rear seats and trunk mat!! Ever since I am real careful when playing with 90w!

Did you have any trouble getting a woman to ride with you in that car after that ?

Last time I checked this was a Vintage Mustang forum not a Model T forum, but you would not know it by reading this irrelevant thread!

Ha ha . So why are you reading it ? You'll never get back the 5 minutes it took to read the topic and type out your response. I'd rather be reading some totally irrelevant threads than be reading the same old repetitive questions that any 4th grader could find in the shop manual.

You need to be in a chat room instead of this forum trying to boost your post count and arguing with everyone. You have a great deal of knowledge and are helpful but you belittle anyone who has a different opinion than yours. Have a great day I'm done.:p

Aw come on Hawthorne, have you never wondered why this stuff smells so god awful? I know I have. My old rear end fluid would stop you dead in your tracks.
