The PO had taken all the paint off the grille moldings, I guess to get a shiny chrome look. I'm going to paint them back argent. I'm wondering how the paint is going to stick on this smooth shiny aluminum surface? How would I go about this? Thanks!

Clean them well first, then tape off the outer edges that don't get painted. Use a primer coat, followed by the color. It's easy to do, other than the taping, which takes some time.

Those parts come clear anodized. Paint will stick to the anodizing, if the anodizing has been removed (are they dark?) you will need to prime the area you want to paint with either epoxy or zinc chromate primer. (Other primers also)

If they were polished, you will want to scuff them up a bit. I might suggest some course steel wool. I have been very successful just painting them outright without primer. Afterall they are aluminum and will not rust. The paint seems to stick very well.
