will the 429 fit in the '68 coupe? with out major mods. the car is a v8 (small block) car.

yes it will, you just need to get the motormounts straightened out, buy special headers, and some other stuff too. It has been done many times before.

Just in case you didnt know, the 429-460 engine is a 60 degree engine, making it both narrow and tall.

my old mans '69 mach 1 has a 390 no room for headers are thae motors made differnent?

yah, 390's are a 90 degree engine, so the heads stick more "outwards".

You can use headers on both but you need special ones for clearence, as I'm sure you can tell /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
