Window seal

Anybody know where to get rubber window track seal (holds window in metal frame that rolls up and down - not channel felt or beltline felt - window actually sits in this)? Window is coming loose when rolling down, binding and causing application of added pressure to window crank.

66Cal,
I'm trying hard to picture where you'r talking about. This is on the back side of the Vent
division bar right?

NPD shows a weatherstrip 21450 for the Vent window division bar looks like a rubber strip with
4 rivets down the center. It is on page 133 of the 2000 catalog, this may be it, but I can't tell if it is
for the vent window side or the door window side. My gut feeling was that this is for the vent side.

I thought the channel material was what guided the window up, and not any rubber pieces. Don't have
my stang out of storage yet to be able to check first hand.

Well at least you got a response :)

Shaummy66:

The seal I am talking about rests directly UNDER the window glass, horizontally, in the track that the window scissors rollers go into to move the window up and down. I am thinking about doing a silicon job on it.

I was just about to start crying. Now, with my own two posts on this subject, that brings the total up to four responses and bumps my post count so I can become Lot Attendant or something... Notice that I went from Newbie to Tire Kicker in one post...

Dan,

Sorry, I can logically understand what you're looking for, but without seeing it, I'm at a loss. Looked at my
NPD catalog here again, and it doesn't show anything in that area.

Hi, mustangs unlimited shows an exploded view of this on page 110 of their new catalog but I don't see a listing for it mabe give them a call and see? If not mabe you could take it out use some silicone and reinstall it the silicone should hold it with no problem. John

also have a 95 opal frost pearl G/T BOSS edition convertible belongs to swmbo
I believe they call it glass tape - it's the same stuff holding the Vent window glass in it's frame and the trim thing on the door glass. I think on coupe it holds the verticle bar on the quarter window (if you have the frameless qtr window - '69 F-Bird flash back...)

I think you can get it at most automotive glass shop. I'm in the same boat, I need some to reseat a loose window trim and a vent window.
