Low to high 60's from now until 12/26 with the lows in the high 30's here in southeastern AZ.
Time to hibernate
Unfortunately I'm at work trying to hide from the snowblower!

My love for the desert in the winter is strong!
You can have my part of that character building brother . I'll just hang out here . Not too hot,not too cold , kinda sorta mostley just right ,sometimes .
Looks like We will get us a little of that cold down here in Dixie . Artic cold front blowing in with an expected temp drop of about 45 degrees or so today here in Alabama . Windchills in some places in the negatives with temps not expected above freezing until after Christmas.. So much for our warm weather here down south .

My wife was sick so I had to pick up a few things & yes bread was on my list because we go thru it even with no bad weather . Got it but just barley.
Planned on filling up my propane tank for my generator because they say the 40 mph plus wind gusts might cause some power outages ,but they said at 60 percent I had too much for their 100 gallon minimum.
Me I'll be through with it in a few days but some of you guys got a long time to deal with the situtation & I wish you all the best .

Merry Christmas to everyone .

Late summer, fall, and early winter are the times to be out here. Spring would be nice, but it lasts about 2 weeks and then it's summer before you know it. But we do love it out here.

I have some family down in AZ, and my grandparents have a house in Sun City they snowbird at. My favorite resort, Cibola Vista, is in Peoria and the air and space museum in Tucson is another destination I enjoy. Hope to attend a Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson at least once.

If I could move our house down there and find something in my field for work I'd be on my way today!

The wife isn't a huge fan of these guys, though. I don't mind. Fred, the one outside got left alone. Bob however, was in the shower and the wife I ordered me to exterminate.

If you have cats, they're really good at getting rid of scorpions. They aren't affected by the venom from the stings.

Our favorite critter that wants to come inside all the time are centipedes. They're really good at eating other insects, but they are ugly as sin. My wife can't stand the sight of them, and a quick shot of Raid is enough to make they squirm into a ball and die.
18* and 20 mph Here in Dallas dont know what the wind chill is, but I just spent an hour covering the pool equipment! Sometimes it feels like my third child. I love it, but it can be an expensive pain in the a$s.; The heater has it holding at 50* so far, and though it's gonna run for 48 hours 😬it beats redoing all that transport piping again.

Got plenty of them around my place . And in case you don't know if one stings you in the arch of your foot one dark night it feels like a red hot 16 penny nail then you will need a tetnus shot.
I allway hate to see them crawling across my popcorn ceiling .

Winter is coming. Already had about 105 inches of snow so far and now we get the blizzard conditions with another 2 feet predicted over the weekend. Ugh family is coming in from out of state and my one daughter is flying out to California tomorrow and has to go the Chicago airport I hope she can get her connecting flight. It's when power is out for like 3 days with this type of weather that can get a bit dangerous. Been through it several times in my life.

Ouch! Sounds like the little yellow jacket wasps that hit me a few years back. Yellow jacket stings hurt but usually wear off in an hour or so.
I found a nest in the door jam/front fender of my dad's Club Wagon one year, looked like regular Y/J wasps, but tiny. I call them Pygmy Wasps, they packed a wallop. Their stings were sore for three days!
I got pretty use to checking my boots before putting them on, and checking the bed each night when I'm down there.
I catch a few House Centipedes at night in the summer, harmless but look intimidating, like a centipede with spider legs.

I guess it's winter, the koi pond is taking ice and it's supposed to get down to -6º tonight. Kinda Christmasy? 35º by next Wednesday and 50º Saturday. Climate change always.

Still -10 with -40 wc this morning. Not snowing, but still whiteout conditions from the wind blowing the snow around.

Why does the inside of that door and frame look more like what the outside understandably does? 😵‍💫
