Anybody know anything about the wiring for the wiper/washer on a 96 Chevy Silverado? Danged thing wouldn't work this am. I checked the fuse and fuse relay, and they seem okay. I realize asking Chevy questions is blasphemy, and I apologize, but I don't want to take it to the shop if it is something really simple (although nothing is simple with these newfangled vehicles.)

Check the wire connector where it plugs into the motor/gear assy. I seem to remember a poor design on the connector and it gets intermittent. John



It would be a shame to have passed the test but to have missed the lesson.

try removing the harness plug at the motor,then remove the cover and clean all the contacts for the motor if that does not work then you will need a new motor!! but most of the time cleaning the contacts does the job.(chevy/nissan tech of over 5 years now) have seen corroodedwiper contacts several times during damp weather(humid) hope this helps!!!
